Australian Institute of Flexible Learning

The Australian Institute of Flexible Learning (AIFL) is a nationally registered vocational education and training (VET), training provider who deliver online and face to face training to the local and distant communities.

As a business unit of Upper Murray Health and Community Services, we are strongly focused on the training and up skilling of people in the health, community services and allied health industries.

AIFL’s goal is to provide a high quality and flexible online learning experience which gives our students as much control as possible over what, when, where and how they learn.

The online learning platform is ideal for regional and remote learners, those with transport and mobility issues or busy people with work and family commitments who need the flexibility to study when it suits their own timetable.

The AIFL can deliver many qualifications 100% online.  We have developed relationships with many health agencies so that our students can complete their vocational placement at a facility close to their home location.

We provide recognition of prior learning (RPL) through our innovative eRecognition process or through the more traditional means which recognise skills learnt through life experiences and other learning methods.

Our trainers are highly experienced clinical practitioners who train their students in up-to-the-minute/contemporary industry standards.

AIFL are currently broadening the training offerings to include short courses which are particularly targeted at our local community.

During 2013/2014 we trained students in nineteen qualifications and with the geographic spread from Atherton in North Queensland to Tasmania.

We have key partnerships with Reclink Australia, Community Accessibility and ongoing strong relationships with Ray Beacham, Central Gippsland Health Service, Outcome Focus and Recoveroz.  Other partnerships are under development to support the delivery of a nurse leadership program and training for volunteers nationally.
