A charge is payable for every visit and billed monthly. No person will be disadvantaged.
Referrals
Referrals for the District Nursing Service can be made through your local doctor, nursing staff, or self referral.
Any member of the public can make a referral ie: carers or family members, any individual/sole person who may require this type of assistance.

The District Nursing Service aims to provide the highest standard of nursing care which is specified to the care of the client. We recognise and respect the individuals values, customs, religions, beliefs, dignity, and rights; within the framework of promoting health , preventing illness and alleviating pain.
Services Offered
Services provided by the District Nurses include:
- Wound and Care Management
- Palliative Care

Palliative Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team including medical officers, allied health, home care, volunteers and coordinated by the District Nurses. It is the total care of people whose illness is not responsive to curative treatment by supporting the individual and family's social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs.

- Showering & Dressing clients
- Personal Care
- Continence Management
- Diabetic Education
- Early discharge follow-up
- Stomal Therapy Care
- Assessment of needs and refferal
- Cancer Support Group Co-ordination
Available Times
The District Nurses are available:
Seven days a week - Hours are flexible. On weekends only emergency services are available.
